Welcome to THE Hoop to Help Headquarters!

The Hoop to Help basketball tournament was developed in 2015 by the
Community Tabernacle Outreach Center, from the love of the game by our founders Paul, Jeremi, and Joc. As a way to improve upon the event, and bring the church and the community together, a decision was made to create a charity backpack drive. Hoop to Help has become a positive way for the Waterbury community to come together and show support to the education of our youth, while participating in an event where the kids are helping the kids.
The goal is to provide an event that raises funds for backpacks and school supplies to donate to families who would otherwise not be prepared for the school year. Since its start, the Hoop to Help event has continued to grow, donating more supplies every year!
Join us this year as we work together to ensure our young men and women are set up for success, fully prepared for the upcoming school year!

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide our local communities with an event that promotes teamwork, security, and charity.

It is our firm belief that every child should be granted equal opportunity in their early-education. We have expanded on this idea to present a fun and safe environment for our youth to participate in a team based tournament, while also being able to give back to the neighborhoods they live in. We work tirelessly to ensure local elementary school children are supplied with high-quality backpacks and necessary supplies during the school year, and envision a future where every child is supported throughout their academic careers.
